The Scholar Athletics Study Hall is designed to support online learning and consists of supervised academic support and enrichment, lifeskill activities, and athletic development. Daily health checks will be conducted, all participants will be required to wear masks and social distancing policies and procedures will be implemented.
Study Hall programs are further designed to provide parents with a socially-distanced, supervised day camp option for their children. These sessions will provide a mix of study time (with each participant required to do schoolwork or other quiet activity), physical activity, lunch break, snack break, and other fun activities. All camps will adhere to our strict COVID-19 safety precautions.
Each participant will have required study time during their sessions to do schoolwork individually on their computer. Participants will need to bring their computer, headphones, books, and any other school supplies. Our experienced staff and coaches will provide supervision and assistance where possible.
Snacks and lunch breaks will be designated during the day. Participants will need to bring their lunches, along with any desired drinks or snacks.
Scholar Athletics/Team Potts Athletics will provide recreation where campers may participate in indoor and outdoor activities, as and if permitted under N.C. executive orders, which may include basketball, kickball, life-skills and other organized sports, etc.
Since the school schedules are unique by school and school system, registration will be on a per-day basis. For example, one participant may register for Monday, Tuesday and Friday while another participant may register for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Parents will need to register their child(ren) for each day and/or sessions they wish to attend. Registration is on a first come/first serve basis for children grades 4th-8th and is limited based on social distancing accommodations. We may expand the study hall sessions to additional participants after an assessment of the first week of camp.
Programming will follow this agenda (which may be subject to change).
$25 per session. Starting Wednesday, September 2nd (AM then PM Session). Study Hall is initially offered on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
